BATTLE FAQs

How do payouts work ?

1st place wins $350, 2nd gets $200, and 3rd takes home $100. Producers who place 4th through 8th receive a full entry refund. Every participant also gets $10 in store credit just for entering. Payouts are sent within 3–5 business days after the battle ends via PayPal or Cash App. All final scores are posted publicly on the Chop League discord for full transparency.

What happens after I enter the battle?

After securing your spot, you’ll immediately receive:

 

A link to download the required sample.

 

Full instructions on how to submit your beat, vote, and stay updated.

 

You’ll also receive access to the Chop League Discord.

 

 

What do I need to submit?

A beat that uses the required sample

MP3 or WAV format only

No longer than 3 minutes

Must be uploaded via a Dropbox or Google Drive link

 

How does the voting work?

There are 4 groups.

Groups exist only for voting organization.

 

 

Peer Voting (60%)

 

You’ll vote on the Top 4 beats in every group you’re not in.

You cannot vote on your own group.

 

Point system:

1st = 5 pts

2nd = 3 pts

3rd = 2 pts

4th = 1 pt

 

Failure to vote = disqualification

 

Judge Voting (40%)

 

Internal judges score every beat on a technical rubric:

Each category is rated 1–5, for a max of 15. Scores are normalized to align with peer scoring.

 

Final Score} = (Peer Score × 60%) + (Judge Score × 40%)

 

All 48 producers are ranked on one leaderboard — top 8 win prizes.

How are winners announced?

Winners are revealed in a Final Recap Beat Tape, posted in Discord and on our socials.

We also publish a full leaderboard with all peer and judge scores for transparency.

What if there’s a tie?

In the case of a tie, we’ll use the following tiebreakers in order:

 

  1. Highest raw peer score
  2. Highest raw judge score
  3. Highest judge rating in “Use of Sample”
  4. If still tied, prize will be split or judges will cast a final vote

 

 

What are the deadlines?

Entry: First come, first serve — no hard deadline

Submission: 24 hours after the battle fills

Voting: 48 hours after submissions close

 

Refund Policy

Refunds are only issued if the battle doesn’t fill within 30 days of it being posted.

 

Once the battle begins, no refunds are available, unless verified mismanagement.

 

Please be sure you’re ready to participate before entering.

Chop League - Terms & Conditions

 

 

By entering a Chop League battle, you agree to the following:

 

1. Entry & Eligibility

 

All participants must be at least 18 years old or have guardian consent

Entry is confirmed upon successful payment via Shopify

Battles are first-come, first-filled (limit: 48 producers per battle)

 

 

2. Submission Requirements

 

Entries must include the required sample

Beats must be original (no AI)

Submissions must be under 3 minutes and uploaded via Google Drive or Dropbox

Late, incomplete, or inaccessible submissions will be disqualified

 

 

3. Voting & Scoring

 

Participants are required to vote for the Top 4 beats in each group they’re not in

Peer votes make up 60% of your final score

Judge scores (based on sample use, drums, and arrangement) make up 40%

Final scores are calculated, normalized, and posted publicly

 

 

4. Prizes & Payouts

 

Cash prizes are paid via PayPal or Cash App

All participants receive $10 store credit

Prizes over $600 may require submission of IRS Form W-9

Failure to submit required tax forms may result in prize forfeiture

 

 

5. Refund Policy

 

Refunds are only issued if the battle does not fill within 30 days

No refunds are available once the battle begins, as funds are immediately allocated toward prizes, store credits, and competition management.

 

 

6. Conduct

 

Cheating, vote manipulation, or disrespectful behavior will result in disqualification

Analog Sound reserves the right to disqualify entries at its discretion

 

 

7. Legal

 

Chop League battles are skill-based competitions and do not constitute gambling

By entering, you agree that all submitted material remains your intellectual property and may be featured in promotional content, recap tapes, or social media.
